Hanging Rock State Park

Today was a great day for hike. Clear skies, about 70 degrees, slight breeze. So we headed up to Hanging Rock State Park. Gail had already been there, but it was my first time. It was a moderately strenuous hike to the top, but we’re tough as nails! 😉

This was our destination: to the top of Hanging Rock!
Princess Gail takes a breather at the top!
Looking north, towards the Blue Ridge.
Looking south. I bet at night we could see lights from both Winston-Salem and Greensboro.

We are loving our new state. There are endless possibilities for outdoor fun, and the weather lends itself to year round enjoyment. I am glad that Gail enjoys these things as much as I do, because they are not special unless you have someone to share them with. And I’m grateful for our good health, which allows us to be this vigorous and see these beautiful sights!
