Winston-Salem has a number of really great parks. Today we visited Salem Lake park for the first time. We hiked the 7.5 mile trail around the lake on a brisk and balmy autumn day. Not the greatest day for photos, but here are a few so you can get a glimpse of what I’m grateful for…
The photos are still great and what a great hike! Looks like you and Gail are enjoying your first autumn in NC. Come winter I'm sure you're going to LOVE not shoveling snow!

So what kind of camera allows you to take such great shots? What a lovely autumn. We don't have it quite as scenic as you, but up and down my driveway, I now have gorgeous gold, auburn and green leaves on the trees. Now I just need to get my camera out…

It was a cool almost cold, overcast kind of day, but I love it anytime I'm doing something physically active. The park was not very busy, so it was quite peaceful.
Yes! We're going to love the not shoveling snow part! 🙂

The autumn is a beautiful time of year, isn't it?
I have 3 cameras that I use regularly. One is on my iPhone. Two is a little Canon Powershot that fits in pockets and purses. And three is my kick-ass 10.1 megapixel Canon EOS Digital Rebel xTi. I've been drooling over it for a few year but wouldn't pay the huge price. I finally found a gently used one on eBay.
