I cheated just a little bit with the light. First of all, the light yesterday morning was indeed very nice. But you know how it is in the woods, all contrasty. I enhanced the photo with Apple’s Aperture but still wasn’t happy with the bird’s back. Upside down, away from the sun, it was too dark. And I didn’t want to overexpose it or over brighten it and lose the blue of the sky or too much of the contrast. So I ran it through one of my HDR programs (as a ‘pseudo” HDR because it was just the one exposure.) I really like how it turned out. 🙂
What a fabulous shot too. Excellent.
Have a terrific day and week ahead. Big hug to you both. 🙂
Thanks, Sandee! I took over a hundred pictures today, and this was the best.
Big Easter hug to you and Z as well! 🙂
Great picture!!!
Thanks, C! 🙂
Oh wow… that IS pic of the day! Great shot!
Thanks, Dawn!
Now if only I had the talent to write a soul-touching poem to go along with it like you do! 🙂
Great pose and light!
Yes, Joan, he posed just like I asked him to. LOL

Wow. So vibrant! Love it. I think I should probably look at birds more often.
Of course you should! As if you don’t have a zillion things to do! 🙂
Though I would love to see pics of the western birds we don’t get around here!
Holy AAAAAAAHhhhhhhhMazing!!
Thanks, Meleah! It really is nice when it all comes together. I have to take a bunch of pictures to get one like this.
GORGEOUS!!!!!
Thanks, Katherine! I’m glad you and your daughter are enjoying the birds around your house! 🙂
