I remember thinking she was a really gifted actress playing in a series dealing with important social issues an impossibly gorgeous woman, and being hormonally gaga for several seasons. That smile! That hair! That poster! OMG!!!

Over the years, she remained beautiful, aging gracefully. She became less object and more human to me, as she experienced the ups and downs of life, and as I grew up a little. (I said a little. I’m still working on it.) I don’t know why, but I am sad to see her go. I’m sad she had to suffer a cancer death. And I don’t want the MJ thing to totally overshadow her passing.
