bird box – final update

The little titmouse family is now complete. The baby titmouse has fledged and they have left the bird box. We missed the actual moment they left the box, but have a few pictures of the baby bird as it was rapidly developing. It was incredible how fast the feathers grew on the baby bird!

I have added a couple of pictures from our feeders of mother birds feeding their young. Bluebirds and Downy Woodpeckers.

The photos are truly amazing. I can't imagine Princess Gail's excitement as she watched this unfold. I'm not a birdwatcher myself but this made my heart beat faster! Special.

    Thanks for stopping by!

    Mims~

We really do get a kick out of it, and we are little by little finding the birding community here in Winston. Last week we went to a meeting at Bethabara Park, and out of about 30 people I think Gail was the youngest. Made us feel like old fogies, but we still like it!
