North Carolina prides itself in many things, among them BBQ. There is a famous BBQ festival in Lexington, NC every October. So today we decided to take a little drive down there since it is only about 30 miles away. We had chosen a specific restaurant, but when we arrived, it was closed (on Sundays.) So we Yelped another one, drove there, and it was also closed. We finally got smart and called a few before actually driving there! We found Smiley’s open, and by that time had developed a pretty good appetite! The food was delicious!!!

Glad you two found a great BBQ place. BBQ is one of my favorite dishes. Yummy. The really great thing is you and Gail spent some quality time together. I'm betting that was better than the BBQ.

It was fun. Too cold to do much outside, but a bright, sunny day was perfect for a drive to Lexington. And BBQ is good in any weather!
