When we were in Nashville last year, this dude Chuck Wicks came up to Gail and tried to pick her up! So what that he had just performed at the Grand Ole Opry! So what that he makes all the girls swoon with his smooth vocals and dashing good looks. I had to kick his ass!
Actually, I’m just kidding. It didn’t happen like that at all. We did indeed watch him perform at the Grand Ole Opry, and he was indeed excellent, but when we saw him afterwards I know he wanted to hook up with Gail, but he was the perfect gentleman. Also, he was having an after-concert dessert with his girlfriend, Julianne Hough.
You might know her as one of the dancers in “Dancing With The Stars.” She has actually won it a couple of times. She is also a country singer and toured with Brad Paisley last summer. Julianne is the perfect lady to complement her perfect gentleman, and they happen to be dancing together in the current competition.
Still, I’m texting my vote for Princess Gail!
Since I haven't seen Dancing lately, while lovely pix of Gail seem to grace your blog these days, I'll cast my vote for Gail too. I'm sure she could dance better anyway…if she wanted to, and had you for a partner! Right?
We do like to dance, but mostly just normal dancing at disco parties (I'm old!)
That is so cool! I love those chance encounters. We were at Target on Saturday night with my sister and John looked over to a register about 3 lanes down and then whispered to me, "That's John Patrick!" And I looked at him like "Who?" And he whispered back, "The ABC morning weatherman!" My sister thought we were nuts for gaping at the weather guy, but we both like to snark on him every morning (he goes for cheesy instead of actual humor) so it WAS a little strange to be looking right at the object of our objections. Yeah, okay, I guess the local weather guy can be a celebrity. It's funny how people can achieve "celebrity" status just by being on local tv, even if they are just ordinary people with a cheesy sense of non-humor.

Chuck really is a good singer/performer. He is really smooth and country soulful. I hope he makes it big!
And Julianne is just simply amazing! Beautiful, talented, and a real lady! And they couldn't have been more cordial when I approached them and asked to take that picture of Chuck with Gail. I'm a fan of both of them.
I've never met a celebrity. Sigh.
